Get ready for the 2017 Ford Super Duty pickup truck, because it’s going to knock your socks off! The TSC Ford Specialist team is pretty excited about it too, given the fact that we love all things Ford and are the experts in the field of maintaining and servicing all your Ford needs.
For the first time, the 2017 Ford Super Duty pickup truck will feature a complete military style aluminum body, which will reduce its weight by up to 350 pounds but still maintain its towing and payload power. That adds to up better fuel economy and a sleek, modern look.
This super truck will offer three types of cabs inside, including regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew. The SuperCab will come with a suicide-style rear door that opens 170 degrees and will have major cargo space, flat rear flooring and foldable bench seats.
The truck front will feature a redesigned grille with a Ford logo right in the middle, and the bumper has also been redesigned to look bold and beefier with new fog lights. Headlights are redesigned and will feature LED technology and the rear features new taillights as well. The Super Duty will sit on 17, 18 and 20-inch wheels with incredible suspension for some extreme off-road and heavy-duty exploring.
The luxurious interior of the 2017 Ford Super Duty pickup truck will also make you smile from ear to ear. Recent improvements you’ll benefit from include modern and more comfortable seats that are spaced well and covered with superior leather.
The new dashboard is easy to operate, interactive and nicely displayed, featuring a large touch-screen that controls various car features and also comes with connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, USB ports, Bluetooth, and a Smartphone. Passengers will enjoy cool temperatures courtesy of the modern climate control system, while the driver will enjoy seven cameras and a 360-degree overhead viewing angle when backing into tight spaces.
Safety is also a big concern and Ford hasn’t skimped on that at all with the 2017 Ford Super Duty pickup truck. It comes equipped with enhanced seat belts, airbags and an upgraded safety package that includes blind spot indicators, lane departure warning, collision warning and adaptable cruise control.
As for the engine, there will be three power trains available. The first is a 6.2 L V-8 petrol engine and the second engine is a 6.8 L V-8 power stroke engine. The final option is a 6.7 V-8 PowerStroke Diesel engine. All are paired with automatic transmission systems, which may change depending on the engine. There will be more detailed info on these powertrain types at a later date.
It has also been confirmed that the 6.2 L engine in the F-250 will feature a TorqueShift-G, which could reach 1000lb-ft of torque! This is all a bit preconceived, but it will be interesting to see if it pans out. The Ford Super Duty Pickup Truck should be something worth waiting for, and it will be an exciting day when they make their debut.
